Anastasia Kaziyeva, Head of Strategic Planning and Development Department, Gazpromneft Marine Bunker LLC presents her paper at the X Russian Forum “Current State and Prospects for Development of Russian Bunker Services Market”

On bunkering market development

- One of the key factors of impact on the bunkering market development is the international environmental regulations getting tougher from year to year. The year of 2015 was a landmark for the bunkering market of the Russian Federation as the cap for sulphur emissions from ships was set at maximum 0.1 %, which considerably limited the use of conventional heavy fuel oil with sulphur content of 3.5% in ECAs.

The bunkering market has adjusted itself to work in new conditions and is getting prepared to a new cap which is to be effective from 2020.

In our report at the X Russian Forum “Current State and Prospects for Development of Russian Bunker Services Market” which is to be held in Saint-Petersburg on 29-30 June 2017, we will cover the influence of the environmental factor on the bunkering market of Russia and consider this issue from a new perspective. The key focus of our report is viewing the market from the customer’s position.

Anastasia Kaziyeva will speak at the X Russian Forum “Current State and Prospects for Development of Russian Bunker Services Market” which is to be held in Saint-Petersburg on 29- 30 June 2017. Original publication here.
